Description

I am a Sociologist with success in public & development program management that encomp@es all cycles/stages of

development programs which starts from need identification to monitoring and evaluation. I have mastery in

program development, program management, personnel management, program coordination with professional and

practical knowledge/skill in project design, implementation, monitoring & evaluation and mobilization of gr@ root

community and local authorities. Most of the targets in my past carrier are children, youth, women and other

disadvantaged social groups. During my stay with the organizations, I worked for, I have conducted various

participatory base line @essments, project planning and program impact @essments. I have also gained an

opportunity to different kinds of trainings including PRA techniques, program management and the like. I have

gained an opportunity to work field level program coordination in the UN organization - UNHABITAT focusing of

youth programs. Now, I am serving NEP+ as a Program Manager/Principal investigator for CDC ART adherence case

management program and overall programs at national level.

Name of Employer: - Networks of Networks of HIV positives in Ethiopia (NEP+) Year of Service Feb 1, 2011- Till now Position:- Principal Investigator / Program Manager Duties and Responsibilities  Represent NEP+ as a PI in all programmatic and financial related communication with CDC Atlanta & Ethiopia in coordinating and managing ART adherence case management program at national level.  Access, update, drug funding and certify financial reports in CDC Atlanta’s payment management system (PMS)  Access & update NEP+ profile, prepare and submit grant applications and submit programmatic reports to CDC Atlanta’s system for award management (SAM)  Manage national office and regional chapter’s ART adherence case management personnel. (Over 35 officers, regional coordinators are engaged in the project. Moreover, over 1,400 case managers and adherence supporters are assigned in different health facilities all over the country)  Support in assessment of the programmatic requirements and capacity building needs for the implementation of ART case management project at national level;  Support NEP+ country program in developing support plans for integrated case management project;  Coordinate and support initiatives targeting infrastructural, systems and human resource capacity building at national level;  Provide general programmatic support to regional project team to ensure timely initiation and implementation of case management project activities and their integration with other program components; Facilitate communication, collaboration and sharing of implementation expertise and other resources among NEP+ country teams;  Advice and support NEP+ programs at national level to attain and maintain high level of patient adherence to care and treatment, primarily by fostering greater involvement of PLWHA and linking monitoring and evaluation with clinical services;  Assist the specific regional and site support teams to establish mechanisms for adequate interaction between case management program and the overall HIV related services  Work with country programs and site support teams to ensure transfer of expertise to adherence case mangers and supporters on-site, and ensure their active involvement in multidisciplinary team activities.  Assists regional and site support teams case management initiatives in establishing referral linkages and functional health networks for HIV care and treatment services that will also contribute to district health systems strengthening;  Assist national programs in building national and site level lead
